Turning the extension on
On iPhone and iPad, open Settings, then Safari (on iOS 18 and later, Apps, then Safari), then Extensions, and turn on Video Speed Control. On Mac, open Safari, choose Settings, then Extensions, and select Video Speed Control.
The first time you use it on a site, Safari may ask whether to allow the extension there. Allow it for the sites where you watch videos.
Common questions
Which websites does it work on?
Websites that play standard HTML5 video in Safari, which includes YouTube, Netflix, Vimeo and many online course platforms.
What is the speed range?
The free version covers 0.5x to 2x. Pro extends the range from 0.25x to 16x, adjustable in 0.01x steps or with preset buttons.
Can it remember a speed for each site?
Yes. Set a default speed for a website and the extension uses it the next time you visit. The free version keeps three saved site rules.
Voices sound odd at higher speeds.
Turn on pitch correction in Settings. It keeps voices at their natural pitch when you speed up or slow down.

Open the app, go to Settings and choose Restore Purchases. Purchases are tied to your Apple Account.
How do I cancel or ask for a refund?
Purchases and subscriptions are managed by Apple. Manage them in your Apple Account settings, or request a refund at reportaproblem.apple.com.
