Questions
What do I need to run it?
An iPad and an Apple Pencil. NoteFun is an iPad app: there is no iPhone or Mac version.
Where are my notebooks kept?
On your iPad, and in your own iCloud if you turn on iCloud backup. There is no account to create.
What happens when I tap Ask?
The selected page image and any included PDF text go through the NoteFun relay on Supabase to OpenRouter, which routes the request to a model provider for the reply. The request does not set a no-training or zero-data-retention option, so the providers' policies determine retention and training. See the privacy policy before including sensitive material.
Is the answer always right?
No. AI models make mistakes, confidently. Treat every answer as a study aid to check, never as professional advice.
Is NoteFun free?
NoteFun is free to start, with three notebooks and a daily allowance of Asks. NoteFun Pro, a weekly, monthly or yearly subscription, unlocks unlimited notebooks and a larger daily allowance.
Can I choose how much help the tutor gives?
Yes. Each Ask can be a Hint, which names your next step without the answer, an Explanation of the idea and the steps, or a full Solution with a short check. See the step-by-step math guide.
